ResourcePath to Advance Point-of-Care Diagnostics Under NIH Preclinical Services Program for Diagnostic Testing
October 2024 – Sterling, VA – ResourcePath, a contractor under the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Diagnostics Development Services program, has been selected for the first task order with a final award amount of $746,000. This project aims to advance the Fluxergy multimodal, point-of-care diagnostic platform by optimizing nucleic acid extraction methods for detecting Chlamydia trachomatis (CT), Neisseria gonorrhoeae (NG), and Candida albicans.
This endeavor leverages ResourcePath’s strong collaborative relationship with Rutgers University, renowned for their pioneering work in molecular beacon technology and PCR assay design. Together, ResourcePath and Rutgers will work to enhance extraction methods critical for diagnostic accuracy and reliability.
